The Harpoons

Perhaps the only band in the history of music who could be described as both RnB AND RnB. You know how someone says ‘rnb’ about Beyonce or Aaliyah or whatever and someone else says “that’s not rnb, rnb is Ray Charles” ?  …well The Harpoons somehow manage to be both.

They consist of Henry and Jack Madin doing the sublime sibling thing, Becky Rigby’s at-times bellowing then heart-melting vocals, and Martin King (from Oscar + Martin) tying up the ends with steezy beats and sultry vocals. See them live in a club and the place is dancing from start to finish to the band’s undeniable boppers, punctuated by the occasionally harmony-laden ballad.
