James Holden Live

The most astonishing debut in electronic music since Boards of Canada’s “Music Has The Right To Children” is what The Guardian said about James Holden’s debut album back in 2006. In 2013 he finally returned with a bold, psychedelic follow up called “The Inheritors”, reminding us that he is one of the great visionaries of electronic music.

Like kindred spirits Jon Hopkins and Four Tet – Holden will take us on his own journey with – for the very first time in Australia – his live band set up.

Sometimes I listen to Renata and just imagine hearing it in the early hours in The Sup’.

Described as a ‘techno sorcerer’ and a ‘psychedelic shaman’ – the music of James Holden has a vision of The Infinite, something only music can express.

As Thom Yorke once said “All hail James Holden and his boxes of magic!”

Late late Friday night.
